A Sample of What Clients Have to Say about “The Laughter Pharmacist”
March 29, 2017
The Morris Public Library hosted the Laughter Pharmacist, Mark Sherry, for his “Rejuvenate Your Life Through Laughter” Program. The audience and the staff were thrilled to learn about all the benefits of laughter and truly enjoyed the laughing and interactive activities that followed. Mark encouraged participants to interact with each other through games, eye contact and movement that produced laughter and sense of connection.
The event received an outstanding response in our small community having brought over 30 attendees to our small Library who truly enjoyed the professionalism of the performer, the vibrant spirit in the audience generated by laughter, and the unlimited energy that everyone experienced after the event. Thank you, Mark, for bringing your spectacular event to our Library!

Mark was invited to be our entertainment for our Senior Connection program. Mark’s presentation was professional, informative, and rich in laughter. Truly, Mark lived up to our expectations as the “Laughter Pharmacist.” After an introduction where he shared with us the benefits of laughter and how it can help free us of stress and pain, he demonstrated several laughing techniques which the group had much fun in implementing. Laughter filled the hall and each member truly entered into and enjoyed Mark’s input. All left grateful for a fun time. I would highly recommend Mark Sherry who lived up to his reputation as the “Laughter Pharmacist.”

Thanks so much for your wonderful program on Laughter at the COA March luncheon today. Nineteen seniors attended and you got us all moving and laughing, leaving in good moods and looking forward to the next two programs you will be bringing us, thanks to the Chesterfield Cultural Council grant.

“Mark Sherry, the The Laughter Pharmacist, brought “Laugh for the Health of It!” to our faculty meeting in March, 2013. Knowing that teachers are often reluctant to relax and open up with adults as opposed to their lighter side with young students, Mark opened the meeting with the physiological research behind our need to laugh, and then moved quickly into a series of activities that got us moving and chuckling. For 45 minutes, we laughed out loud, did some silly things, and basically celebrated the need to re-connect with what is fun about being teachers and part of a school community.
As a teacher himself, Mark understands how enmeshed we can become in our daily mandates and schedules, and he brought that breath of fresh air to Plains School. It is a good thing to lighten and loosen up!”

“What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Mark, thank you for your wonderful presence here at Genesis. Our mission is one of hope and healing and I can honestly say that all who attended left feeling happy and hopeful. The whole group experience was so beneficial and it showed in every person’s smile as they left for the day. Keep up the great work!”
